Funded Programs
We are a Skills Assure Supplier for the Career Start and Career Boost programs, as well as VETiS (VET in Schools).
Career Start
For job seekers to access entry-level and certificate III qualifications in priority and emerging industries – you may access up to 2 funded apprenticeships and traineeships in either a certificate II or III qualification.
Career Boost
For workers and career changers to access certificate IV and above qualifications – you may access only one funded apprenticeship or traineeship in a certificate IV or above qualification, as long as you have not accessed 2 apprenticeships or traineeships under Career Start.
VET in Schools
VET (vocational education and training) is learning which is directly related to work. Qualifications are developed by industry to give people the knowledge and skills they need to work in a particular job. Certificate I and II level qualifications can be undertaken in Years 10, 11 or 12 to get you on track for your future career.

Yes, WMTC is a Skills Assure Supplier, meaning eligible trainees may receive government funding contributing towards the cost of their training. Three funded programs are available: Certificate 3 Guarantee Program, Higher-Level Skills Program, and User Choice Funded Program.
The training centre is equipped with up-to-date facilities for practical training, including vessels and simulation equipment, all located in the scenic and operational setting of Airlie Beach.
